Spam and Scamberer

From: http://twitpic.com/1xsqd7

Conroy and Rudd are both creationists who will be addressing churches via a private broadcast run by the Australian Christian Lobby. They probably don't believe in evolution.

Despite it's name, Australia Votes, this is not about democracy. This groups is about a small minority trying to force their bronze age ideas onto the rest of society.

Rudd retreats on web filter legislation

KEVIN Rudd has put another election promise on the backburner with his controversial internet filtering legislation set to be shelved until after the next election.

A spokeswoman for Communications Minister Stephen Conroy said yesterday the legislation would not be introduced next month's or the June sittings of parliament.

This hasn't gone away. They are going into election mode so the netfilter doesn't get mentioned much... just like last time when they were in election mode.

I followed Rudd's election closely. I would have known if this was mentioned because I would have stopped thinking positively of him. The Greens (my vote) are coming through for us. I hope the Greens get balance of power in the Senate. A nice three way split like in the UK.

If we stop voting for them will they leave us alone??

Gay prostitution ring linked to Vatican

VATICAN CITY - One of Pope Benedict's ceremonial ushers and a member of an elite choir in St Peter's Basilica have been implicated in a gay prostitution ring, in the latest sexual scandal to taint the Vatican.

My favorite question: Is this religion teaching people how to be good?
These horrible, hypocritical people presume to tell us we should listen to their instruction on correct moral behaviour. Come on!

Conroy, I think he's a Catholic, wants to tell us what's suitable on the web... really?

Rudd! He went and visited the pope... in the very place where this was going on. And he presumes to tell us that the net us a dangerous place for kids.

The filtering continues to spread.

Rudd's jumped on the bandwagon now.

Prime Minister Kevin Rudd said he would consider introducing an internet ombudsman after Facebook tributes to two dead children were defaced with pornography.

Rudd said he would look into an idea put forward by Independent Senator Nick Xenophon to appoint an official who would be responsible for taking complaints and action against such material.

This is the biggest bit of troll feeding ever! Has Rudd ever been online?

More censorship? Rudd 'epic fail' FaceBook group goes offline

Today, we can reveal that online political speech has been dealt another blow with Facebook, the popular social networking site, being accused of political censorship after it removed the group "KEVIN RUDD = EPIC FAIL".

Before it was removed the Facebook group is understood to have had over 3000 members and focused on building a list what it described as Kevin Rudd's broken promises.

Whether or not you agree with the argument of the group, surely in a democracy the creators have the right to express their views and people have a right to join and support that group.

This supports the thin edge of the wedge idea, yes?
